What do the experts say?

“I still remember how the introduction of the Infinicyt software revolutionized the way we analyzed flow data in our laboratory. Over the years, I had the opportunity to share our experience with many clinical cytometrist around the world, and it was remarkable to see that everywhere we went they felt exactly the same we did: a perfect balance between the most sophisticated software tools for advanced analysis of flow data in a user-friendly and fast software.”

Bruno Paiva, PhD Director of the Flow Cytometry Unit, CIMA, University of Navarra Pamplona, Spain

“I have been an Infinicyt™ user since 2009 and I find it a very helpful software to screen for and analyze files of hematological malignancies. I like the idea of not using prefixed templates or quadrants and be able to perform a fast, sequential analysis to identify and characterize each cellular population. It has some features that I particularly enjoy, namely the Automated Population Separator (APS) which provides a n-dimensional separation of events based on all the parameters in the file. This feature has proved very advantageous in complex samples like bone marrow aspirates or when a detailed analysis of a large number of events is required to identify a cluster of cells, as in rare event analysis, e.g. MRD samples. The maturation tool opens new insights in evaluating the maturation patterns of different lineages based on different markers and is very relevant when there is a clinical suspicion of MDS. Finally, the use of the compass tool enables new automated classification based on databases of normal samples or comprehensively pre-diagnosed cases of different clonal entities.”

Maria Arroz, MD Director of the Flow Cytometry Laboratory, CHLO, Hospital S. Francisco Xavier Lisbon, Portugal

“As a clinical flow cytometry lab that does leukemia testing and monitoring during treatment, the Infinicyt program has opened up a new window for us in minimal residual disease analysis, as well as routine flow analysis. The APS is an amazing tool, and has enabled us to monitor our patients, in a way that routine programs cannot. The technical support and training are great. Any question or problem we have is promptly solved.”

Ellen Broide, Lab Supervisor Flow Cytometry Unit, Dept. of Immunolgy Jerusalem, Israel

“(…) Thorough all the software I have used I have never had one to be so simple and intuitive to use. The flexibility of the Infinicyt process to identify populations makes the analysis less tedious than most other software. (…) The software gives us confidence to clearly identify populations at the LOD in MRD cases that our previous analysis software could not do. Extras like the APS algorithm, maturation sequences, merging files and creating “normal reference” libraries as well as a personal abnormal file for each patient for post treatment comparisons really puts this software way above all others (…)”

Becky B. Owens MT (ASCP), Supervisor Clinical Flow Cytometry, University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, Little Rock, Arkansas USA

The Infinicyt software is intuitive and permits easy establishment of analysis panels and protocols. In single tubes it permits isolation and characterization of small subpopulations. In addition, the ability to merge files which contain an adequate backbone enhances the utility of flow cytometry in the diagnosis and classification of both leukaemias and lymphomas as the cell surface profile can be clearly determined. It is invaluable in the analysis of myelodysplasias for definition of aberrant antigen expression and assessment of the maturation profiles; in analysis of leukaemias at diagnosis, relapse and in the evaluation of MRD, where aberrant antigen expression and population overlay may impede conventional analysis strategies. As a clinical haematologist responsible for the flow cytometry section of a large clinical laboratory, I find Infinicyt an invaluable desktop software for rapid analysis and verification of the complex blood, node and marrow samples that I review on a daily basis.

Dr Elizabeth Bernal, Deputy Director Haematology, Douglass Hanly Moir Pathology, Sidney, Australia

Infinicyt™ is by far the most stable and flexible software product for data analysis in flow cytometry that I use. The Infinicyt™ has an easy-to-use interface with a single query field and the possibility to select between several data sources. In my laboratory the Infinicyt™ software is used both for routine diagnosis and research purposes. The innovative features of Infinicyt™ are: is user-friendly, intuitive software allowing a wide range of analytical possibilities, and is first tool that allow constructing a database that improve the classification and comparison of data with implications in disease monitoring through and beyond treatment. Moreover, the Cytognos’ team has excellent communication skills and provides fast response and turnaround time for any possible problem.

Pr. Lydia Campos, Head Laboratory Hematologist and Dr. Carmen Aanei, Hematologist, Centre Hospitalier Universitaire de Saint Etienne, Saint Etienne, France

“It was definitely an eye-opening experience when I began to use Infinicyt software. Multidimensional analysis and many innovative features such as cluster of events and APS are really helpful for distinguishing pathologic and normal populations of hematological diseases. The software provides objective data processing and a user-friendly interface also makes sure of the quality, accuracy and feasibility of results, especially for the minimal residual disease detection. Besides, technical support for any question gets solved in short time.”

Shao-Min Han, Physician. Tai Chen Cell Therapy Center, Taipei, Taiwan

“My first analysis program was paint-a-gate, from there we made the leap to Infinicyt 12 years ago and the change has been amazing. It is a program for cytometrists made by cytometrists. Its original tools such as batch analysis, APS, compass, reference images, maturation patterns, etc. make it the most complete software for my studies.”

Dr. Evan Jensen Gamboa, Flow Cytometry Specialist, Hospital Nacional de Niños Carlos Sáenz Herrera, San Jose, Costa Rica

“We have been using Infinicyt software for over two years at our institution, particularly for MRD applications. The software includes many innovative and advanced tools for analysis of flow cytometry data. It can handle huge MRD files produced by collecting over 10 million events efficiently and fast. Features such as ability to merge multiple files, and analysis based on Automatic Population Separator (APS) are extremely helpful in analysis of data, particularly identifying very small populations at 0.01 to 0.001% levels. One of the best features of the software is the capability to display all the events collected together in open gates without compromising the ability of the analyst to recognize a tiny subpopulation of interest. As a user, if it happens that you need help, knowledgeable staff at Cytognos are always there to help.”
